Quilter’s Message

Happy New Year, fabulous quilters! We hope your holidays were peaceful with a little time to sew.

Our Lake Mayer pillowcase days will be January 3, 17, 24, and 31 from 10 til 2. Bring your machine and sewing supplies, we have kits. There is also a free sewing day every Thursday from 12:30- 3:30. We have a lot of fun, come and join us.

We will announce the winner of our pillowcase competition at our January guild meeting and we will begin another challenge in March.

Our next delivery to Children’s Hospital will be Tuesday, January 7th and will include many pretty Valentine’s Day fabrics.

Remember, we are always accepting financial donations to buy fabric, or child appropriate fabrics (no glitter, please) or solid or blenders to make kits.

A 1/8^th ruler or one that will measure 1/8^th

10X10 in fabric for pin back

2.5 inch strips of red and pink with good contrast and a background color.   2 to 5 strips depending on how much color variation you want.   Use picture as a reference.

You will receive a kit to complete the pin in class

We hope that you enjoyed our Holiday Breakfast. We would like to thank all the board members and some very special helpers that set up before and cleaned up after. You did a fabulous job!

A huge thanks goes to Cheryl Dingledine for planning all the decorations and making all the “favors” for the July Luncheon and the December Breakfast. She had some help from friendly “elves” for the favors. She does a great job of party planning!
