My Apologies

Some of you received an email about a fundraiser for the American Legion post in Richmond Hill.  I was creating an email list from my contacts. I tried to delete all the ones from the quilt guild because I know we like to keep it more private and I respect that.  It is apparent to me that I missed quite a few.

I am sorry.

Sincerely,

Terry Duncan

🚢 Quilt Cruise Curiosity… Anyone Been? 🧵

I’ve been hearing more about Quilt Cruises lately and it has definitely piqued my curiosity.

For those who may have experienced one—what is it really like? How are the classes structured? What does a typical day look like? What works well…and what doesn’t?

At this point, I’m simply interested in learning more and gathering a little insight from anyone who has first-hand experience. There’s nothing like hearing the real story from someone who has been there.

If you’ve participated in a quilt cruise (or even looked into one), I’d love to connect and hear your thoughts.

Feel free to reach out:

Or catch me at an upcoming meeting.

Always fun to explore what’s out there in the quilting world… 😊

Crocheters for Linus meet Thursday

Hi Crocheters,

Last month’s meeting was so fun watching everyone helping each other cutting salvages and punching holes. This month we are going to focus on starting the crochet rows and different choices of stitching to use.

The rest of our fleece is squared and has punched holes. We will use these to work on our stitches and rows.  If you are one of our more experienced crocheter, we can use your help with those who are just learning.

The meeting will be on the second floor of PARC.  We will meet this Thursday, March 26th at 1:00 p.m. Please let me know if you are coming by emailing me at rippinrenee@gmail.com.

April Workshops! You have a choice of two!

An April Opportunity!

Keep your equipment clean and damage free! We have two workshops that will run simultaneously after the April meeting.  Don’t let the Savannah humidity damage your equipment.  Keep your equipment free of nicks and  scratch free!

Scissor Sheath – Everyone hates dull and nicked scissors.  Make a functional and beautiful protective case and keep your scissors shiny.  This is a great introduction to Byannie patterns.

This class has a kit so all you have to bring is your sewing machine, thread, rotary cutter and 3 fat quarters.

Cost $20 for class  $15 for kit

Iron Caddy  – There is nothing worse for a quilter than a nicked iron!

The Iron Caddy will keep your iron clean and nick free.

Sewing machine, rotary cutter, thread, ruler, fabric marker, clips or pins.  Please cut fabric prior to class.

Fabric 19.5 x 25.5

1x silver ironing fabric

I1x Insulbrite

1x outer material

2x warm and natural batting
