Services for Ronald Gerken, Husband of Charlotte Gerken
I wanted to share the information about the memorial services for Charlotte Gerken’s husband Ronald. As a long time member of the Guild I know she has many friends who miss her attendance and would like the opportunity to support her.

Reminder: January Modern Bee
Just a reminder that the Modern Bee will be meeting this Wednesday, January 15 from 1-4 at the Talahi Community Center (532 Quarterman Road). There’s a $3 room rental fee.
The workshop will be on Minimalist Modern Quilting. We’ll be making little quilt “sketches” so bring your sewing machine and cutting supplies and some coordinated fabric. Your choice, but solids or low volume prints are good with either high contrast or subtle minimal colors.
We’ll be having a show and tell, so if you have a round robin quilt (in any shape) bring it along and any other things you’d like to share.
Looking forward to seeing you Wednesday.
John C Campbell Folk School 2025 Program
I encourage you to explore the many offerings for the John C. Campbell Folk School this year. I received their program yesterday! I have always wanted to go and maybe will be able to get there this year. It has a rich history going back one hundred years in Brasstown, NC. Take a minute and explore. You are sure to find something that is calling to you. Judy
