Mask needs near and far

Judy S. sent me the information.
The website has two links-one showing how to make a face mask and the other a link to health agencies requesting masks. There is a drop down menu to search for individual states. As always, it is a good idea to make contact before sending masks.

Charity Pillowcases

Hope all of you will find time to make pillowcases. Before all this virus stuff started I made a delivery of 125 pillowcases to Memorial Hospital.

So now Cindy and I don’t have any finished pillowcases and about 25 kits available.

Thanks for all your hard work and fabric donations!

Joanns Makes Kits and Distributes Masks and Gowns

Joann’s Makes Kits for Masks and Gowns

Go Joanns!  Click on the link and you can view the news story about how Joanns is helping by making kits for gowns and masks.  They have a drive up service if you want to pick up kits.  They are collecting finished masks and gowns and distributing them to the healthcare places in need.

One thing I noticed it that they used fusible interfacing in their masks to add another layer of protection.  They have a video on making masks on this link too.  It seems that the gowns may be a huge need too.

Great news about the distributing them to those in need.  It isn’t easy to connect with people at the healthcare facilities as they are busy now.

Masks

I spoke to the Human Resources dept. at Memorial today. They are not accepting any mask donations at this time. I have not heard back from Candler yet.
