Retreat 2025 Information
Sign-up for the 2025 Savannah Quilt Guild Retreat will begin on Saturday, April 13th at the guild meeting. You must be present to register. Attached is the Registration Form so you may fill it out ahead of time if you wish. We will also have blank forms at the meeting. The deposit will be $100 as usual and we will only accept deposits from the first 30 folks in line at the meeting. If more than 30 would like to attend we will accept their registration forms, number them in the order received, and add them to the waiting list. Mailed-in forms will be opened and added immediately after the meeting. Those on the waiting list will not pay any money until openings arise. Please keep in mind that this past retreat we started with a waiting list of nine and as it turned out they all had the opportunity to go!! Lanette

Instructions for the Block of the Month for March – Scrap Bin Geese
We ran short of instructions for the Scrap Bin Geese block at the meeting today. The instructions are on the website under Block of the Month 2024. I will post a link to it below.
The instructions make it clear that you use gray and white for the background and one choice of color for the geese in each block. The blocks in a finished quilt will have blocks of different colored geese. There is a picture that shows blocks of different color choices in the instructions.
This is described in the first section of the instructions:
Scrap Bin Geese block – unfinished 12 ½” square
Due at the MARCH Guild Meeting
Here’s what you’ll need for one block:
6 (2 ½” x 4 ½”) ‘geese’ scraps – should all be 1 color family
6 (2.5″ x 7″) gray tonal, discreet pattern strips
6 (2.5″ x 7″) white solid or pale print strips
I hope this answers everyone’s questions.
Renee
Members! Posting issues have been fixed.
Keeping fingers crossed! Posts that were created had issues sending to everyone. I think that we are good to go and have tested the sending with good results. The posts that did not go to everyone will be resent to all of you if this test post goes out without problems.
I appreciate your patience and hope that this did not cause you any issues!
