Wholecloth quilt

When I was showing the wholecloth quilt during Show and Tell I misspoke

pretty badly about the thread. (I get so nervous!!) I used about 3 1/2 spools of Superior

Threads Treasure thread. Coated ELS Cotton, 30 wt. 3 ply Hand Quilting Thread. The spool

says 551 on it. 300 yds per spool.

I just love Show and Tell. There are so many beautiful quilts with such a variety of styles.

Thanks

Becky Brown

3 things from our January meeting

1. I enjoyed Lisa’s presentation on organizing yesterday. I took a screenshot of some helpful resources mentioned in her PowerPoint. Thanks Lisa!

2. The designer of Laurel McKeith’s beautiful quilt is Linda McGibbon. Her patterns can be found at Lakeview Quilting.

3. A Blue sweater was left at the meeting. Please let me know if it is yours.

Day Quilt Retreat

A daytime only Quilt Retreat is planned for March 19 and 20.  The planning of this retreat came about at the Handwork Bee.  We will meet at the Center Parc Credit Union from 930 – 500.  You will provide your own lunch.  The room only has 8 tables so I’m limiting attendance to 8 which I already have.  If you would like to be on a waiting list email me at

Thanks,

Judy Lindsey

Fall 2026 Retreat Deposit Reminder

A quick reminder for anyone planning to attend our Fall 2026 Retreat (October 22–25, 2026)—if you haven’t yet submitted your deposit, please bring it to the meeting this Saturday.

We’re working toward a full house of 30 attendees, which will allow us to officially secure the retreat at St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center. Your timely deposit helps make that possible, and we truly appreciate your support.

Please plan to give your deposit to Lanette Edens at the meeting on Saturday.

This will be our first-ever Fall Retreat, created in response to the wonderful success of our spring retreats. We’re excited about the opportunity to offer a new season, a new rhythm, and more ways for members to connect and create together—and we hope this becomes something we can continue in the years to come.

Thank you for helping us make this new tradition a reality. We can’t wait to quilt with you!

Michael
