  • How wonderful to recognize a renowned African American Georgia quilter. Her story quilts have been exhibited at World’s Fairs. Her first Bible Story quilt is preserved and on exhibit at National Museum of Natural History; a second Pictorial Quilt is preserved and exhibited by Boston Fine Arts Museum. Quilter Powers is recognized as the Grandmother of contemporary story quilts.
