Dear Savannah Quilt Guild Members,
It has come to our attention that a spam email may be circulating that appears to come from me as President of the Guild, possibly asking for money or financial assistance for the Guild.
Please know that this message is not legitimate and was not sent by me or by the Savannah Quilt Guild.
As a reminder, scammers sometimes impersonate organization leaders in an attempt to trick recipients into sending money or sharing personal information. If you receive an email that seems unusual or asks for financial support unexpectedly, please take a moment to:
- Check the sender’s email address carefully. Scam emails often use addresses that look similar but are not the official sender.
- Be cautious about requests for money, gift cards, or urgent financial assistance.
- When in doubt, reach out directly via a known email address to confirm the request before responding.
- Never open attachments from any email that seems suspicious.
If you ever receive a message that seems suspicious or out of the ordinary, you are always welcome to contact me directly to verify whether it is legitimate.
Thank you for helping keep our Guild community safe and informed.
Warm regards,
Michael Sengstack
President, Savannah Quilt Guild
