Quilter’s Message

Rebecca, Wanda’s daughter, called and wanted to make sure that our quilters know about the place and time of the funeral.  It is at St Andrews, not St Francis as was reported by mistake earlier.

Deacon Wanda Lucas, a longtime Deacon in the Episcopal Church passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after suffering a stroke on Monday, June 14, 2021.  She spent her last days attending church, and visiting with her church family and friends.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 3 W. Ridge Road on Skidaway Island in Savannah.  Burial will follow in the church Memorial Garden.

Our dear quilting friend, Wanda, is still not doing well.  Rebecca asked for us to continue to send our thoughts and prayers.

Renee, thank you for the up date on Wanda. She has been in my thoughts and prayers.

Wanda has been put on a ventilator but the prognosis is not good. Wanda’s family has to make the decision to leave her on the ventilator or take her off. They would like our quilt guild members to know about wanda for their support and prayers.

Wanda Lucas was admitted to the hospital on Monday and has taking a turn for the worse this morning. She has had a stroke and is in critical condition. Send her your hugs and keep her in your thoughts.
