W-Warriors canceled BUT

Hi All,

I am cancelling tomorrow’s Weekend Warriors event due to the Half-Marathon AND you may have heard, a small airplane crash-landed on the Bacon Park golf course last night. It is unclear if  and for how long that particular area will have traffic re-routing tomorrow.

BUT

For those of you that want to meet up with Ms Deb Brown tomorrow at the PARC Recreation Center on Pennsylvania Avenue. Deb will be there around 10/10:30. The room will be available until 1:30 PM tomorrow. Please reach out to either Ms. Debbie or Karen Hayes for more info.

Open Sew – Weekend Warriors Nov 15th

Hi All,

November 15th is open sew with the Weekend Warriors in the meeting room of the Epiphany Church on the corner of Washington Ave/Waters Avenue from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Bring any project you like to work on and have fun with the group.

There is a small kitchen for heating a lunch as well.

Please send me a note if you plan on coming so the tables can be set up and ready for you.

The same day is also the Savannah Half Marathon and with that, Washington Avenue is blocked off. You will need to park along Waters Avenue. For unloading your machines, you may briefly stop at the front or the Alley between the church and the real estate office, but cannot park there for the duration of our meeting.

The way to get to the church that day is coming up Waters Avenue from the southern part of Savannah. Below is a link to a map showing which roads will be blocked off as a guide to the church.

Feel free to text me if you have any questions.

Hope to see you Saturday and don’t forget your lunch.

Reminders for Tomorrow’s Meeting

1) Show & Tell: Georgia National Fair Editions
Bring your Georgia National Fair submissions so we can ooh, aah, and—yes—admire those ribbons. We can’t wait to see what you created (and hear the stories behind them). 🙂

2) Fall 2026 Retreat Paperwork
Thinking about the October 22–25, 2026 retreat? Please bring your completed registration paperwork to the meeting—we’re aiming for 30 attendees!

Guests / Non-Members Welcome
Have a friend who wants to come on retreat? Fantastic! Guests are invited, too. There’s an additional $35 fee, which also enrolls them as a 2026 Guild member—win-win: retreat + membership.

3) President’s Challenge: Savannah Squares
Bring your 16″ block—finished or in progress! We want to see your piece of Savannah, even if the last stitches are still on the to-do list

See everyone tomorrow.

Michael
