March Modern Bee Meeting

The Modern Bee will be meeting Wednesday, March 20 1-4 at the Talahi Island Community Center (532 Quarterman Dr). Everyone invited.

This month we’ll be continuing to work on our “puzzle” quilts, a la Cindy Grisdela. We’ll be working on additional block options that can add even more interest to the quilts — angled stripes, wonky triangles, and freehand curves (if we have time). In additional we’ll talk more about doing a round robin quilt or a variation of such a project. Also don’t forget your modern show and tell quilts, including your finished or in progress “puzzle” quilt.

Bring your machines and more fabric for your 3.6.9 puzzle quilt. You’ll need at least six different colors in about 8″ swatches. If you weren’t with us last month to start these quilts don’t worry about it just bring a palette of coordinated colors and you’ll be just fine.
