Pillowcase bee at Lake Mayer

Because the work on the septic system at Lake Mayer is not yet finished, all activities are cancelled. So we won’t meet tomorrow. We will see you at the meeting on Saturday.

I am having trouble getting this message to send. It always takes a long time, but you may get 4! 🤪 Happy sewing! Frances and Debbie

Pillowcase competition

Happy Monday!!

In fairness to all of our quilters, each pillowcase entered into the competition for the Yazzii bag should be made by a single person. Teams are welcome to make pillowcases for the hospital, but not to be entered into competition under one name for the bag. Thank you so much for your generosity and hard work for the children. It makes a scary time a little bit easier for them. Debbie

Come sew pillowcases!

Hi, All! We will be meeting again at Lake Mayer Community Park on Feb. 2, and Feb 9 at about 10:00 to sew pillowcases. The park is at 1850 Montgomery Cross Rd. We are in the second small building  on the right after you pass the tennis courts. Bring your machine and supplies and we will supply the kits. We have a lot of fun!  Debbie and Frances

Pillowcase project at Lake Mayer

Frances and Debbie will be at Lake Mayer to work on pillowcases this Friday, January 19th, and next Friday, January 26th from 10-12. We will match fabrics for kits, and you can bring your machine if you would like to sew pillowcases.

Lake Mayer is at 1850 E Montgomery Cross Rd. in Savannah. When you come into the park through the front gates, go to the community center which is past the tennis courts in the second small building on the right. The playground is behind it. We will see you at 10. Happy sewing! Debbie and Frances

Pillowcase cutting bee

Hi, all. Frances and I are hoping you can stay after the guild meeting on Saturday to help cut fabrics for the pillow case project to benefit Children’s Hospital. We will be cutting 27″ by width of fabric.

You will need your large cutting mat, rotary cutter, and ruler or other measuring tool. We will bring fabric.

We will spend 1 to 1 1/2 hours max. Thanks. See you on Saturday, Debbie Whiteway and Frances Stockton
