Just wanted to let everyone know that the quilters attending Wanda’s funeral are planning on wearing something pink (sweater, hat, blouse, scarf, etc ) in honor of Wanda’s love of pink.
St Peters is the name of the church on Skidaway!
Rebecca, Wanda’s daughter, called and wanted to make sure that our quilters know about the place and time of the funeral. It is at St Peters, not St Francis as was reported by mistake earlier.
Deacon Wanda Lucas, a longtime Deacon in the Episcopal Church passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after suffering a stroke on Monday, June 14, 2021. She spent her last days attending church, and visiting with her church family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 3 W. Ridge Road on Skidaway Island in Savannah. Burial will follow in the church Memorial Garden.

Latest Wanda Update on Saturday
Our dear quilting friend, Wanda, is still not doing well. Rebecca asked for us to continue to send our thoughts and prayers.
