Hi Everyone,
It’s that time of year for the 2024 President’s Challenge reveal! My goal has been to come up with a challenge that all our members can participate in, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned quilter. The challenge is optional and it’s meant to be fun. You will have until the December Holiday luncheon, when everyone will reveal their Challenge projects.

This year’s challenge is “Your Birth Month Flower & Gem Stone Color”.

-It must have you birth month gem stone color in it. (a little wordy, I know) Enough that we can all see it in the back when you reveal it!
-It must have elements of your birth month flower in it. How you use your birth month flower is up to you. I.e. color, fabric pattern, a design element. Some months have two flowers…pick one or both, it’s up to you.
-You can make anything you want…a purse, a bag, zipper pouch, quilt, table runner, pillow…etc. Your project does need to be sewn by machine and quilting is optional. Use any kind of embellishments you want, i.e. applique, cross-stitch, fabric paint or embroidery, etc. Whatever you make must be larger than 8×10 inches, so it can be seen by everyone when we have our reveal.
So get those creative juices flowing. Challenge on! Kim

We are still signing up for the July Luncheon and Game Day. Lunch will be provided by Chicken Salad Chick and the cost is $15 per person. Signups will continue until June 22nd. You may send your payment to Jan Howard. Her address and other pertinent information can be found on the website. Kim

Hi Everyone!  Tomorrow is our monthly guild meeting. I apologize for a very last minute reminder. We are still signing up for our July luncheon and Game Day from Chicken Salad Chick. The cost is $15 payable by cash, check, Venmo and Zelle. We also needed to switch up the agenda and have the program first, followed by our meeting then show and tell. Social time starts at 930. This Saturday is our monthly guild meeting at 1000, with social time starting at 930. We will begin signing up for our July Luncheon and Game Day. Lunch will be catered by Chicken Salad Chick. The cost is $15 per person.  So bring cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle, and start working on your Mexican Train skills!  And just a friendly reminder….our monthly Take-It Table is for sewing, quilting and craft items only.  If your items remain, please take them back home with you on your way out. Hi Everyone! This is just a reminder that this Saturday is our guild meeting. Please note that we will need to start the meeting promptly at 1000. We need to have our program first this month, because Fred Langley has another commitment and must leave at 1100. He has plenty of time for his presentation, provided we get started on time. The regular business meeting will be after the program. Our social time starts at 930, and if you can arrive early, it would be appreciated. We are also signing up for the 2025 retreat on Saturday, so if you plan to sign up, please plan accordingly to help alleviate a long line. See you all Saturday! Kim

This is a reminder that our March 9 meeting is being held at The First Christian Church of Savannah. The address is 711 E. Victory Drive, Savannah 31405. From Victory Drive (traveling East) turn Right onto Paulson, then take the first alley on the right to the parking lot behind the Fellowship Building. Parking will be tight, so please consider car-pooling with friends. I have asked Mary Bell Fuller to help direct cars in the lot so we can get as many in as possible. See you all Saturday! Kim
