****Reminder****

The Appliqué Bee will meet Tuesday November 28 1 – 4.

We will be meeting at the Center Parc Credit Union Community Room 5698-A Ogeechee Rd Savannah.  This is on the access road for Berwick Market Place and is between the LUV car wash and Express Oil Change.  (Use the address in your gps because there is also a branch in the Walmart at 6000 Ogeechee Rd)

There will be no workshop this month.  This group is open to all hand stitcher.

Mark your calendars ….the December meeting will be on the 12th.

The Appliqué Bee will meet Tuesday October 24 from 1 – 4. We will be meeting at the Center Parc Credit Union community room this month. The Garden City Library is being used for early voting and the room at the Pooler Library was unacceptable.

There will be a workshop on how to make circles and 3 ways to make bias strips for stems and Celtic appliqué.

Supplies needed are:
Sewing thread
Needle
Scissors

If you have the following bring them but don’t buy them for the workshop:
Circle template
Perfect Circles
Bias Bars
Perfect Stems
Clover Bias Maker
Hera Marker

I will have fabric for circles and bias strips. Irons will be available.

The Center Parc Credit Union address in 5698-A Ogeechee Rd. Access to the parking lot is off the Berwick Market Place frontage road. It is between the Savannah Car Wash and Express Oil Change.

The Hand Appliqué Bee will meet Tuesday September 26 1:00 – 4:00 at the Garden City Library. There is no program this month just a handwork sit and sew.

The workshop this month lead by Cindy Ochoa is a turned edge using stabilizer then appliquéd to a background. Cindy has prepared 10 kits of the pictured project. If you did not participate last month you may not get a kit. I will have additional red, yellow, green and background fabric and stabilizer or you can bring your own if we run out of kits. The project is a 12” square. Light boxes and irons will be provided. Come ready to learn a new appliqué skill

Supply List
Sewing machine the has a blanket stitch
Foot pedal and power cord
Open toe foot
Extension cord
Frixon pen or pencil
Turning tool such as a purple thing (don’t worry if you don’t have this)
Sewing supplies – scissors, pins etc

The Hand Appliqué Bee will meet on Tuesday 22 Aug 1:00 – 4:00 at the Garden CityLibrary, 104 Sunshine Rd.  There will be a workshop to learn how to make turned edge appliqués using fiber, templar and freezer paper.  This method can be used for hand and machine appliqué.
