Pillowcase project September 2025

Hi, all. I hope you saw the picture on our guild Facebook page of our granddaughter with her pillowcase at the hospital on Friday. We need to keep making them. The dates for Lake Mayer are September 19th and 26th from 10-2. There is also time scheduled for quilting every Thursday from 12:30 til 3:30. Don’t forget to return your finished pillowcases to the guild meeting, especially the Halloween themed ones. We will deliver them mid to late September. Thanks, Debbie

We will have a crochet granny square workshop this month or you can work on your own project. Annette will provide yarn and hooks for you to learn to crochet a granny square. Bring your lunch and stay all day or just stop in for a few hours.

Change of schedule at Lake Mayer

Mannana at Lake Mayer has notified us this morning that they have cancelled our Aug 29th quilting/pillowcase sewing day and rescheduled it to this Friday Aug. 22nd. Neither Frances nor I will be there this Friday but you are welcome to sew there from 10-2.  Thanks, Debbie

Just a note to remind you that pillowcases will only be accepted if they have serged or French seams, so they won’t fray when washed. If you need help, come to Lake Mayer on Aug. 29 (10-2). Thanks 🙂 Debbie

Info for Georgia National Fair Entries

Please be sure to complete your on-line fair entries no later than Wednesday September 3 deadline and get the quilts to me by Thursday September 4!!  I will be delivering them on Saturday September 6.  Quilts must each be in a pillowcase (we don’t want them to get dirty!).  Labels on the back of each quilt AND on its pillowcase must show:

Your Name

Savannah Quilt Guild

If you have trouble with the on-line entry process please call me – I’ll be glad to help.  Also – if anyone could please loan me a few more “beach buggy” carts it would make the delivery much easier!!
